Mistral raises €3 billion as it expands into AI infrastructure
Mistral has raised €3 billion in a Samsung-led round valuing the French AI company at about €21 billion. The company is expanding beyond model development into data centers and engineering services for organizations seeking greater control over AI deployment. Its chief financial officer says funding will support both frontier models and infrastructure, including facilities in France and Sweden. Customers will also be able to deploy other companies’ models; the expansion remains a strategy whose commercial results are not established here.
