SEC charges entities accused of using false filings in $130 million investment fraud

The SEC charged BG Wealth Sharing and DSJ Exchange with allegedly raising more than $130 million from retail investors by promoting risk-free crypto-trading returns and falsely presenting themselves as legitimate, SEC-connected entities. The complaint says the firms used false Form ADV and Form D filings, fake certificates, investor payments and multiple communications channels to sustain the scheme. The SEC seeks injunctions, disgorgement and penalties. The allegations have not been adjudicated, and the filings have been removed from the SEC website.
