Cliftonville stripped of women’s League Cup title

BBC

Cliftonville have been stripped of their Northern Ireland Women’s League Cup title after fielding two ineligible players in July’s final. NIFL overturned the 4-0 result, awarded Glentoran a 3-0 victory and fined Cliftonville £500. The ruling ends Cliftonville’s domestic treble hopes, although the sides are still due to meet in the Irish Cup final.
